Meet the Access Project

BPS Birmingham Aspire have partnered up with The Access Project to bring our members a unique and rewarding opportunity to volunteer as a Tutor for a young person in Birmingham.
If you’re looking for a way to give back to the community, and have an hour a week to give up to support a young person with their education, come along to find out more!
Come along to this introduction to the Access Project to hear all about what they do, how you can get involved, and from volunteers who are currently taking part. There is of course no obligation to sign up.
6pm – Welcome and mingling
6.30pm – Meet The Access Project (Presentation)
Hear from and Sophia Ireland, Head of West Midlands and Caroline Ludden, Volunteer Coordinator
7pm – Hear from current Access volunteers
Sarah Fraser, Corporate Tax Consultant at Deloitte will share her experience of volunteering
7.15pm – Close and more mingling!
Stick around and finish off with some networking, and have the chance to speak to Sophia, Caroline and Sarah about their experiences.
• To tutor GCSE, you must have an A-Level or equivalent in the subject (and be working towards an undergraduate degree or professional qualification)
• To tutor A-Level, you must have completed a degree in the subject or be working towards a professional qualification
If you’re interested in signing up as a volunteer after the event the Access team will contact you and we’ve arranged an exclusive BPS-only training event follow up. Here you’ll receive the full training all Access tutors go through before starting. You can register for this after the launch event.
