Who are we?

Aspire is made up of two committees; Advance and Talent, who both report to the Chair Adam Dobson.

Established in 2016 to reflect the growth of BPS Birmingham Aspire, the Advance Committee’s focus is on the development of Greater Birmingham students seeking careers in the city’s thriving professional services sector. We want to engage our talent of tomorrow, inspiring them to build a life in Birmingham by providing them with access to exciting opportunities, influential individuals and prominent leaders across the city.

A key example of how we bridge the link between Birmingham’s young talent and the BPS sector is demonstrated by our flagship scheme, Graduate Apprentice. The scheme is now in its 11th year and the next BPS Graduate Apprentice, Kizmi-Jade Ramah, will be taking her place in August 2016. Kizmi will undertake 3 x 4 month paid placements at leading Birmingham businesses – Business Growth Fund, Katie Bard, and JMP Consultants Ltd. Watch this space for her blog and news on 2017/18!

BrumLife, a fantastic annual venture organised by Birmingham Aspire, is an employment and lifestyle fair which connects the up and coming young professionals of Birmingham with established organisations and lifestyle companies who may previously have been out of reach. The day is an opportunity to network, find out about career opportunities and sample (quite literally!) the best of what Birmingham’s bars, restaurants, and lifestyle businesses have to offer.

Year-round we host a range of workshops, networking events and socials to give our members the opportunity to build and maintain an established network ready for the first years of their professional services career. To find out more or get involved, please contact
