Senior Associate at Trowers & Hamlins and Chair of BPS Birmingham Future, Victoria said;
“This is my first venture back into long distance running in 5 years – so need all the support I can get – but am delighted to be taking on the challenge for LoveBrum”
“I seem to be unable to resist the chance to run around the streets of Birmingham each October, this being my fifth year in a row running the half or the full marathon. It never gets any easier and by the end of each run I’m ready to throw my trainers in the nearest canal. I keep coming back because the thousands of pounds raised each year, and the hundreds of people supporting the runners, show just how great Birmingham is.”
Client Services Executive at Urban Communications Limited and Chair of BPS Birmingham Future’s Engage Committee said
“I’d written myself off as a runner. I couldn’t even run 1k to the local park without gasping for breath and hating it the whole way around.
After completing Tough Mudder with my work team this year however, I faced my treadmill fear and strode into my first 5k approx. 6 weeks ago. So now apparently it’s onto the half marathon… not taking a challenge by halves and all that…”
Apprentice Surveyor at GVA and Aspire Committee Member said
“It’s the first time I’ve even tried to run a short distance, so taking on the Brum Half is a massive step for me. However, LoveBrum has always been close to my heart because of how they make Birmingham an even greater place than it already is!”
Victoria, Laura, Hannah and Max will also be joined by Tru Powell (Founder and Managing Director of The Alternative Events Company and BYPY 2018 Marketing and Communications category winner) and Zoe Brown from PwC (BYPY 2018 Finance Category finalist).
This is a fantastic example of how the BPS community come together to support the best of the city. You can pledge your support for team LoveBrum here.
