Mike Parker looks back over the first two months as Birmingham Young Professional Of The Year

Back in May Michael Parker was our named Birmingham Young Professional of The Year 2017 (BYPY). Since then it’s been a whirlwind two months in his new ambassadorial role. Hear his thoughts on what’s been happening.
Birmingham Young Professional of the Year 1017, Michael Parker is currently leading the national Performance Improvement service at construction consultancy Gleeds. Michael has had a significant career in the property and construction sector. After graduating from Cardiff University with a Master of Engineering degree, his career began with national housebuilder Taylor Wimpey. He has since held prominent positions with organisations including AECOM, Ernst and Young (EY), and Birmingham-based Curium Solutions. In addition to completing an MBA at Reading University, he is Lean Six Sigma certified and is a member of the Association of Project Management (MAPM). Outside of work, he is an Ambassador for charity LoveBrum, is a guest lecturer at a local university, and sits on the BPS Birmingham Infrastructure Committee.
