Specialising in the underwriting sector of the insurance industry, Alexandra has forged a reputation as a trusted and professional consultant that secures high quality placements for her esteemed clients. Committed to the sector within which she operates, she is currently working towards her Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Having taken a role as a dinner secretary for the CII, she is now working with the Birmingham Insurance Institute (BII) where she hopes to become an official member of the Council. Her dedication to insurance has earned her the respect of industry peers and made her the go-to consultant when clients are looking to fill an opportunity.
Student Recruitment Officer, KPMG
With a first class honours degree in Business and Human Resource Management and a postgraduate certificate in International Business, Katy is Student Recruitment Officer at KPMG. In her role she develops the firm’s student outreach strategy in the Midlands, ensuring it recruits the best candidates from a diverse talent pool. Her outreach strategy sees her working with partner schools in the city to give students awareness of careers in professional services, as well as provide them with skills to give them the confidence to perform at their best. Committed to diversity and inclusion, she works with the University of Birmingham LGBT+ networks and is a committee member of KPMG KNOW (KPMG Network of Women).
Managing Director, Pitch
With over 15 years’ experience in recruitment and supporting marketing, PR, design and digital talent across the region, Rob set up award-winning recruitment consultancy Pitch Consultants in Birmingham in 2007. From setting up a business in a bedroom to moving to state-of-the-art offices in Birmingham city centre, he now manages a team of 15 in both Birmingham and Manchester as he continues to drive the business forward. Committed to supporting talent of the future, he was involved in the creation of B-Hive, a non-profit scheme that helps students in Birmingham gain crucial work experience in the marketing and creative industries. In April, Rob also ran the London Marathon for children’s charity NSPCC.
